Elastic waves in complex media

About
We are a research group of the LAUM.
We investigate the propagation of elastic waves in atypical materials, including soft structures, granular matter, topological lattices and nonlinear media.
We are interested in simple model systems with the motivation to observe spectacular nonlinear wave phenomena (such as bifurcations, solitons, rogue waves, and domino-like transition waves) or to design functional structures to control the propagation of elastic waves (for applications such as wave filtering, mitigation, guiding, or energy harvesting).
