First EAA Winter School on Computational Acoustics

What's the 1st EAA Winter School on Computational Acoustics ? 


This course is a graduate-level training in the fundamental and applied aspects of computational acoustics. It covers the main numerical methods currently in use in industry and under development in academia, such as Finite Element Methods, Finite-Difference Methods and Boundary Element Methods. The course will include the required theoretical foundation needed to understand the properties of numerical schemes for acoustics. Attendees will also benefit from hands-on sessions to develop best practice with several simulation methods. Taught by leading academics in this field, the course is intended for researchers and engineers. This course is particularly devoted to PhD and MSc students. 




This Winter School is organised by the French Acoustical Society, in partnership with the EAA Technical Comittee on Technical AcousticsLAUM (UMR CNRS 6613 / Le Mans Université), the Computational Acoustics group of the UK Acoustics Network and the EAA Young Acoustician Network.


Registration fees 


Registration fee includes for  admission to lectures and practices, lunches and coffee breaks and a visit of the circuit. This visit is an opportunity to discover the site of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Circuit which is unique in the world with its highly eventful and fascinating tales. A guide will accompany us and share anecdotes while you can take a look behind the scenes. You will get access to the inner-circuit headquarter, the press room and the podium where you will be able to feel the thrill of a victory in Le Mans.
