Wild lute-making?
Wild lute-laking is an approach to making musical instruments from salvaged, often incongruous, objects. It's an original approach that brings together music and the visual arts, as well as elements of acoustics, physics and engineering relating to sound sources. Using the wild instruments supplied in the teaching kit, this module invites students to test and identify ways of producing and varying sound, and to classify instruments into families. Using the kit as a starting point, they are encouraged to imagine and build their own wild instruments, and use them to play together.
Where can I borrow the kit?
